Benchmarks

Validation of Geant4 Electromagnetic packages is based on Geant4 extended electromagnetic and medical examples. Validation is performed versus published data and/or between Geant4 versions. The list of dedicated tests for standard electromagnetic physics is shown below.

Brief Overview Of The Geant4 Physics Models

Electromagnetic interactions of photons and charged particles with matter are implemented in two electromagnetic packages. The Standard EM package is tailored for applications where secondaries only above 1KeV are important. For applications where lower energy secondaries, below 1KeV, and additional effects, such as atomic relaxation and shell effects, are important, the Low Energy EM package is provided.

Nightly

System testing of Geant4 Electromagnetic packages mainly based on Geant4 novice and extended electromagnetic examples. Additionally standard electromagnetic physics is tested indirectly in many other nightly tests. The list of dedicated tests for standard electromagnetic physics is shown below.
