1. Status of 11.1

The new release, 11.1, was published on time, on Friday, December 9th 2022.

2. Creation of the "Early Career Researcher Committee" (ECRC)

The creation of this committee arises from discussion at the last collaboration meeting in Rennes. It is meant for helping with application of grants, helping with new members, mentoring, etc. It is made of people having obtained their last degree less than 10 years ago, of recent Geant4 members and of "contributors" (the new category of developers, for light developments). 

The ECRC has one representative at Steering Board meetings.

3. Status of the new website

The content of the new website is in a state ready for release. It is expected to come in production in early 2023.

  • 4^th Geant4 International User Conference at the Physics-Medicine-Biology Frontier, Napoli (Italy), 24-26 October 2022
  • 26^th International Conference on the Application of Accelerators in Research & Industry, October 30 to November 3, 2022, Hilton Embassy Suites in Denton, Texas, USA
    • Next conference will be in 2024; Geant4 will be the featured simulation tool.
  • [Virtual] Geant4 Advanced Course @ CERN, 10-14-October 2022
    • Afternoon sessions
    • Mixed (in person + virtual) courses are considered for 2023.
  • 9^th International Geant4 Tutorial in Korea, KISTI/Daejeon, Dec. 5-9, 2022
• Next events:
  • 58^th Geant4 Technical Forum on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, 16:00-19:00 (CET).
    • The main item for Geant4 developers side will be the content of 11.1 .
  • CHEP 2023, May (Virginia, USA) - deadline for contributions was in November.
    • Geant4 contributions include Tuning of model parameters,  Optical photon simulation, Electromagnetic physics, Analysis, Simulation on GPUs, Fast simulation with Machine Learning
